Meet SEMCOG's New Leader

January 28, 2014

The Southeast Michigan Council of Governments has been promoting regional cooperation since it was formed in 1968. One of its responsibilities is planning the area’s transportation needs. SEMCOG has only had five executive directors in 45 years and just appointed number six. Kathleen Lomako will take over this Spring. She’s a veteran urban planner with 35 years of experience. WDET's Pat Batcheller asked Lomako where regional cooperation is working, and where it still needs improvement. Click on the audio links above to hear the conversation.
